Mega Space Connect 2018

The Mega Space Connect 2018 was conducted in conjunction to the launching of High Altitude Balloon (HAB). It was also regarded as the climax of the Space Connect event, in which, this event was officiated by the Dean of School of Aerospace Engineering, Prof Ir Dr Mohd Zulkifly Abdullah.

There were a few competitions organized such as the drawing and colouring contests for the kids age 5-12 years old.

Apart from that, an inter-school competition was held in which, the students from the schools that we visited during the Space Connect 2018 will have to plan and generate a creative experiment to be brought with our HAB to the stratosphere.

This is a participation video from SMA Nadzah, among forteen fostered school. For your informations, the schools that we visited have been fostered and the progress of the aerospace clubs are monitored by the USM Space System Lab. The winner of this competition received a telescope as a startup kit for their aerospace clubs.

The Mega Space Connect 2018 turned to a major success when the Levitate USM was announced as the Best Educational Initiative by the Global Space Balloon Challenge. Click Here

With this achievement made by the team, we aim to benefit and reach more underprivileged and unfortunate kids. We believe that these students have the right to receive good education as the others.
